One of the major obstacles to people who are interested in visiting Lake Bayano is the lack of recreational facilities on the lake. This is finally changing. A local dairymen and his family are opening their farm to visitors. They provide hiking trails, boat excursions on the lake, horseback riding, and other activities. They have even built a small, but modern and comfortable cottage for visitors who would like to spend the night. This is a big improvement for Bayano tourism and we are pleased to introduce you to Bayano Adventure!
Bayano Adventure's pontoon boat can take parties of up to eight people on a tour of the lake, including a stop-0ver at an island for a picnic lunch. The farm has horses and horseback riding is available for all ages. If you've never tried it, they'll be happy to show you how. You can even help the farm hands milk the cows. Kids often find this great fun.
The lake's bird life is fantastic with hundreds of species calling it home. You can take a look at the rainforest and its inhabitants by hiking a nature trail. Listen and you'll hear the howler monkeys. If you keep your eyes open, you'll probably see them high in the trees. Finally, there's always time for fun on the farm for friendly competition.
